Reflexology

What Is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a holistic, complimentary therapy for the mind and body. It is wonderful for relaxing and de-stressing and can give you a more overall energy and a sense of wellbeing, bringing balance to your body.

Reflexology is based on the originally ancient principle that reflex points on the soles, sides and tops of your feet correspond to different areas of the body, also referred to as ‘zone therapy’. Zone therapy is the belief that the body is divided into 10 vertical energy zones which encompass the head, organs, muscles and skeletal structure, all of which are reflected on the feet and hands.

The treatment involves the application of pressure (using mostly a thumb technique) to specific points on the feet. This stimulates the body’s own healing processes, releasing toxins and rebalancing your body. Conditions treated include the following, both chronic and acute: back pain, asthma, allergies, sleep problems, skin disorders, headaches, migraines, menstrual problems, digestive issues, kidney and bladder problems, arthritis, anxiety and stress, emotional and physical pain caused by cancer.

Reflexology is also used as a preventative treatment to help boost the immune system and is suitable for people of all ages, including children and teenagers.

Reflexology Therapy

Reflexology for Feet

This therapy uses pressure to suit your requirements on specific points of your feet to help you feel better, reduce stress and to help you feel more energised.

Hand Massage

Reflexology for Hands

Using the same theory as feet reflexology that points correlate to different points of your body, this technique puts pressure along with massage on various reflex points on and around your hands to help relax, rebalance and detoxify your body.

Hot stone therapy has been uses for thousands of years. It is believed that hot stones reduce stress and when used on specific pressure points they can give a deeper level of impact to detoxify and increase blood flow, improve circulation and strengthen your immune system. .
